While major artists like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift represent only one-third of the live music market, the remaining two-thirds consist of smaller venue events that are often difficult to discover. Ask Hearby addresses this gap by utilizing Large Language Model (LLM) AI technology combined with anthropological expertise to match user intent with suitable live events.

The platform aims to function as a knowledgeable friend offering personalized concert recommendations, but with broader awareness than human curators who might be limited by personal preferences or favorite venues.

Key features and developments:

  • Comprehensive coverage of UK cities and towns
  • Planned expansion to North American shows in 2025
  • Ability to discover various venues, including restaurants with live music
  • Future updates will include personalized show lists shareable on social media

Early testing shows promising results in discovering local venues and lesser-known performances, though the system is still learning to refine its recommendations. Unlike existing solutions that focus on post-purchase support, Ask Hearby concentrates on the critical discovery phase before ticket purchase.

The platform represents a significant step forward in making live music more accessible, helping fans discover everything from major concerts to intimate local performances, ultimately aiming to boost attendance across the entire live music ecosystem.
