Justin Bieber is currently signed to Def Jam Recordings, a division of Universal Music Group. He's been with the label since 2008 when he was discovered by Scooter Braun and signed through a joint venture between Def Jam and Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG).

His initial deal with Def Jam came about through the efforts of Usher Raymond IV, who was instrumental in getting the young Canadian singer signed to the label. At the time, Bieber was just 14 years old, making him one of the youngest artists to sign with the prestigious record label.

The partnership has been incredibly successful, with Bieber releasing all of his major studio albums through Def Jam Recordings:

• My World 2.0 (2010)
• Under the Mistletoe (2011)
• Believe (2012)
• Purpose (2015)
• Changes (2020)
• Justice (2021)

In 2019, Bieber renewed his contract with Def Jam Recordings, demonstrating his continued commitment to the label. This deal ensures that future Justin Bieber releases will continue to be distributed through Def Jam and Universal Music Group's global network.

Throughout his time with Def Jam, Bieber has achieved remarkable success, including multiple number-one albums, numerous hit singles, and various industry awards. The label has played a crucial role in developing and promoting his music worldwide, helping him transition from a teen pop sensation to a mature, established artist.

School Boy Records, owned by Scooter Braun, continues to handle Bieber's management, while Def Jam remains his record label partner for music distribution and promotion.
