The acquired platforms serve different aspects of music education:

• Charanga offers a music-lessons platform used by over 70,000 teachers
• Rising Software specializes in ear training and music theory
• Focus on Sound delivers multimedia learning materials
• O-Generator focuses on music composition

Achieve Partners plans to accelerate the development of all five brands while expanding their reach. The company aims to build a comprehensive education software platform for performing and visual arts, with a focus on addressing America's skills gap.

For Wise Music Group, this sale aligns with their strategic transformation to focus exclusively on music publishing. CEO Tomas Wise expressed confidence in Achieve Partners' stewardship of the education brands while emphasizing their commitment to strengthening their position as a leading independent publisher. The company currently owns or controls over 500,000 copyrights.

This acquisition follows a trend of increasing investment in music education technology, with companies like Conduction and Moombix securing funding in late 2024. The same year also saw collaborations between Billie Eilish and Yousician, as well as Sony Music's partnership with Duolingo for music lessons.
