Eventix has announced a new integration partnership with Spotify, allowing event organizers to promote and sell tickets directly through the streaming platform. The Amsterdam-based ticketing solution provider will join established players like Ticketmaster, See Tickets, and AXS in offering direct ticket purchases through Spotify's platform.

Key features of the integration:

  • Direct linking to Eventix-powered ticket shops
  • Multi-channel ticket display on Spotify
  • Commission-based revenue model for Spotify
  • Optional enrollment for Eventix organizers

The partnership comes at a challenging time for the festival industry, with over 170 events canceled in 2024 and signs of slowing sales for early 2025. Major festivals using Eventix, such as Draaimolen (September 2025) and Paaspop (April 2025), are gradually implementing the Spotify promotion feature across their booked artists' pages.

Eventix CEO Joost Aanen emphasized the strategic importance of meeting music fans where they already are: "This partnership is about promoting your events where the fans are, and there's no better place for that than Spotify, where people are listening every day."

This integration builds upon Spotify's enhanced focus on live events, which began with their June 2022 Live Events Feed launch. The streaming platform has recently expanded its live event offerings through:

  • Direct ticket sales testing
  • Integration with Bandsintown (February 2024)
  • Increased focus on sponsored real-life events

Bandsintown reported significant success in concert promotion during 2024, generating over 230 million ticket purchase clicks from 7.5 billion concert recommendations.
